Chinese Language and China seminar series26 September – 31 October 2009 London Confucius Institute and SOAS Language Centre will join hold the following Saturday seminars from 26 September to 31 October 2009 in SOAS between 13:00 and 15:00 except for Saturday 3 October when there is a full day event – the 4th Experiencing China Day event with the 4th Chinese Language Learning and Teaching Materials Exhibition and participative workshops between 11:00 to 16:00 3 October 2009. The seminars and China Day event are FREE. All are welcome, and no booking is needed. See further details of the seminars. The 4th London Confucius Institute China Day EventSaturday 3rd Oct, 2009 The London Confucius Institute, SOAS Language Centre and Regent’s College will jointly organise the China Day event this year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. This is a full day event with activities ranging from public lectures on Chinese language study, traditional medicine, traditional dance, Kunqu Opera, Taichi and participative seminars on Tea ceremony also known as Sado, where those interested will have opportunities to "do" and perform, as well as teaching Chinese language. All are welcome. In addition, the London Confucius Institute and SOAS Language Centre will host the 4th Book Fair on Chinese Language Learning and Teaching together with Cypress Books Ltd. In addition to many titles on the subject, the Book Fair will feature the new issue of Chinese Learning and Teaching, a London Confucius Institute journal with sponsorship from Cypress Books Ltd for school students and teachers of Chinese in British schools.
