Chinese for special purposesCourses also offered by the the SOAS Language Centre:Teacher training coursesSOAS Language Centre runs a Certificate course in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. LCI is also preparing short pre-service Chinese language teacher training courses and professional development programmes on the teaching of Chinese and Chinese culture for school teachers. Most will take the form of seminars and workshops. Modularised courses that lead to a recognised qualification will become available. HSK preparatory coursesHSK is a standardised national language proficiency test administered under the auspices of Hanban, PRC. HSK preparatory courses at SOAS prepare HSK candidates by revising their language knowledge and skills and familiarising them with the HSK test format.
